Cubase has been about 7 bucks for the last 3 years, which is a good price, but it’s a full featured software suite that’s a bit more than the average hobbyist or semi-hobbyist needs.

I hate this aspect of software. It’s why I don’t use Windows or Steam or any sort of subscription model as an artist. I don’t want to get something, just use it. I want to buy a product and then be done with it. It’s not free, so I don’t support it and don’t buy it. I want to pay for a product and then not have to pay for it anymore. I don’t like paying, I’m cheap. Maybe if I used it more I’d learn to like it, but I just don’t. I’ve been using it since it was Cubase 3 and I’ve only used it every other year since then. I’ve gone over that 8 year mark and I still haven’t even used it. Yet here I am, writing a how to guide for it.

Steinberg: What do you do with all these crack groups?

Steinberg: We are about to release Cubase 8.

Steinberg: We need to have a better workflow in place for when we release Cubase. What are you doing with all your software?

About two years ago I had a message on my Steinberg forum about someone having problems with Cubase. I looked at my messages and realized that I knew who it was. I did some research online and found out that the problem was the earlier version of the Cubase key the person had. So I sent him this message:
