If you have a ps3 and you want to play Skyrim on it then you should first play it on the pc and download all the mods you like. You can even get mods to make your character look like an anime character if you want.
So in the end I prefer the pc version over the ps3 version. The ps3 version has a lot of trouble supporting mods and the game is very poorly made. Had the creators of the game taken the time to care about the PC version, I think it would have been much better.
The PS3 version has some serious graphical issues as well, especially if you go into the mountain or snowy regions of Skyrim. Some of the snowy areas look like the mountains in Open Office on a windows 7 laptop.
I've played skyrim on both platforms and the pc version has all the functionality of the PS3 version. The only thing you miss out is the voice acting and individual sound effects but you can play it in english and you can play online. The online features are almost on par with the ps3 version.
What are they doing? Grab the game on pc and download as many as free mods you wish and enjoy. I've beaten skyrim both on ps3 and pc. The menu and item weight on the ps3 version was so annoying that I regret my time spent on that. For some games with huge community support, the pc is the definite way to enjoy
